About Me

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I work as an academic librarian and have over 20 years experience in public higher education libraries as well as some years of public library work. I am an ISFJ who can veer a little into ISTJ, especially at work because my job is completely online. I'm also an enneagram 9w1; a Taurus Sun, Aries, Rising and Libra Moon; and I'm a 5/1 splenic manifestor. 

I have loved art for as long as I can remember. I enjoy working with color, pattern, and texture and am fascinated by the power they hold to evoke emotion. 

When I let my academic career, physical injuries, and health issues take over, I stopped feeding my soul with creativity. My life became very imbalanced and my well-being was suffering. I started to take workshops and classes that gave me some time to create in new ways and eventually started a regular practice of painting and mixed media work. I also started learning from mentors, teachers, and life coaches about spirituality, personal growth, and leadership. 

I enjoy teaching and helping people change their perspective to achieve more peace, happiness, and empowerment. It is easy to get disconnected and overwhelmed in this high-tech busy world that we live in. Sometimes, we need to take the time for ourselves and get out of our heads and into our hearts. 

While I have a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art from the University at Albany, I needed to reframe a lot of what I learned because I wasn't enjoying art or expressing myself authentically. I studied and became a certified Creatively Fit Coach in 2015 and met some wonderful fellow coaches and artists who have become lifelong friends. I have also taken multiple painting and  mixed media courses where I learned new techniques and expanded my tools for how I express myself and create art. 

In addition to art, I studied with Tisha Morris' Earth Home School of Feng Shui and became a certified practitioner in April 2015. More recently, I felt drawn to digital aura portraits and collage work. I completed my certification as an Aura Portrait Practitioner in 2020. I have been studying astrology with the Astrotwins, Tali & Ophi Edut, and recently received my certificate in Astrology Levels I and II in 2024 and I have been an astrology coach for their certification program in 2025 and 2026.
